CUKC travelled to the University of Birmingham Karate Open on 30 November 2025 for a full programme of kata and kumite. Dean placed fourth in Men’s Novice Kata after reaching repechage.
Senior kata medals
The senior kata categories produced two Cambridge bronze medals. Talin took bronze after a close all-Cambridge contest with Angela, while Lukas won bronze after progressing through strong elimination rounds and repechage.
The team also gained valuable kumite experience across the lightweight and middleweight categories before rounding off a long day together.
